"Talking About Tobacco Use" Programme Manager at National Centre of Indigenous Excellence (Australia)
John Leha is a proud Aboriginal and Tongan man born and raised in Australia’s largest city of Sydney. John has a long history of working in Indigenous education and employment programs as a public servant within the commonwealth of Australia. John is an active member of the Sydney Aboriginal community with membership with the Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council, voluntary roles with the Kingsford Community Legal Centre, The Aboriginal Project with the Aids Council of New South Wales and a leadership role with the Indigenous Marathon Foundation and the founder of the Sydney Deadly Runners.
John is a local ambassador of several health campaigns that aim to raise awareness of the health issues faced by the Indigenous community. John is currently the manager of the “Talking About Tobacco Use” programme based at the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence in Redfern NSW Australia.
