Minister for Pacific Peoples, Minister for the Community and Voluntary Sector, Associate Minister for Children, and Associate Minister for Social Housing (New Zealand)

Alfred Ngaro is a Cabinet Minister and National’s list MP based in Te Atatu, having grown up and attending local schools there.

After training as an electrician and gaining a theological degree, Alfred worked in community development with experience in New Zealand, the Cook Islands, and Canada.

He entered Parliament in 2011, and in December 2016 was promoted into Cabinet and made Minister for Pacific Peoples, Minister for the Community and Voluntary Sector, Associate Minister for Children, and Associate Minister for Social Housing.

Alfred is a proud New Zealander of Cook Islands descent. He lives in Auckland with his wife Moka where they’re kept busy with their four children and two grandchildren.
