Managing Director of SAP New Zealand (New Zealand)
Graeme Riley is the Managing Director for SAP New Zealand. He heads the overall subsidiary and has direct responsibility for the sales division, including both direct and indirect sales channels. Under Graeme’s leadership, his team is responsible for effective engagement with customers throughout New Zealand to ensure customers derive maximum value from their SAP solutions and products.
Graeme returned to New Zealand to join SAP in Oct 2008 initially as Sales Director and within 3 months was appointed Managing Director of the New Zealand operation. During his tenure at SAP he has created a performance driven culture across the business and has more than doubled the sales revenue of the business.
Through Graeme’s leadership, the SAP New Zealand team has also held a strong focus on corporate social responsibility, by supporting social enterprises and preparing New Zealand’s youth for the digital careers of the future. Graeme took executive lead in SAP’s partnership with the Ākina Foundation in 2016 and has since supported social enterprises to innovate and scale their operations through dedicated social sabbatical programs as well as funding and mentoring opportunities for his team.
Graeme began his professional career as a computer operator and then trained as a programmer/analyst. Together with a business partner, he then established Valley Computers Limited as a bureau provider for small to medium businesses, growing the company into successful and profitable business before selling it to a larger corporation in 1987. Following this Graeme worked with a number of IT companies in senior management positions across Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
Graeme is married to Donna and they have a daughter, Alaina, who is married and has made them very proud grandparents.
