Participative Session 13: Rewriting the social contract: what place for the State, Social Enterprises and Social Movements?

Participative Session 13: Rewriting the social contract: what place for the State, Social Enterprises and Social Movements?

Friday 29th September 1:30PM - 3:00PM The Piano, The Chamber

Whilst the theory of the social contract has given legitimacy to political interventions since the middle of the 17th century, social activism and social entrepreneurship are movements that have probably always existed in some shape or form in our societies, but have only quite recently been identified, named and appropriated as such. What are the opportunities and challenges associated with these different types of interventions being at play at the same time? How can they complement each other as they aim for the same social outcomes?
