It’s a new year, and we’ve been working hard on a programme design which will motivate, inspire and connect you with social enterprise innovation from around the globe. One of the highlights of the programme will be our speaker lineup, and we’re excited to showcase the first of them here.

Along with 4 talented New Zealanders who all contribute to the social enterprise sector in their own way, we’re excited to be welcoming social enterprise leaders from Samoa, the UK, and the USA.

Our 3-day programme overview has also just gone live on the site, and it’s something we’re really proud of. We have designed it with the help of working groups represented by all sectors.

What we’re trying to create here is not your typical conference; it’s a mix of forum and festival. It’s about people gathering to discuss the needs of the social enterprise sector. But more than that, we aim to open this conversation up to everyone else who may not be able to attend. The streams and sessions that’ll be running September 27 to 29 will encourage deeper participation and will enable us to celebrate diversity and learn from each other. Along with our main plenaries we’ll have some concurrent sessions too so you can personalise your experience. More topics and speakers will be announced soon so keep checking back.

We’ve also been hard at work organising tours and cultural experiences for international delegates in Christchurch for when they have some free time.

We’ve partnered up with Tourism NZ and Naturally NZ Holidays (a local tour company) who would love to create an itinerary for you. You can plan your trip for yourself with the information given or Naturally NZ Holidays can group you with like-minded Forum attendees for a pre-planned trip.

Speaking of planning, open stream will go live in April, on which you’ll be able to organise your own meetings or workshops, access professional expertise and coaching sessions at the Mentor Bar, or book a hot desk for a few hours. Pretty handy!

So in order to experience the breathtaking New Zealand, hear from wonderful speakers, and of course, partake in the Social Enterprise World Forum make sure you grab your tickets now to get that early bird discount!

Want to get involved?
We want your help! You could do anything from contributing to the programme design and content, helping us promote the event, ensuring people from your community or your global networks attend, or suggest ways our delegates can have a truly meaningful experience of the Transitional City that is Christchurch.
